Thursday, October 8th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

"And so it criticized each flower, This supercilious seed; Until it woke one summer hour, And found itself a weed."
(Mildred Howells, 1872–1966)

Criticism has a tendency to overshadow our inner (and outer) beauty, causing us to become a thorn to those around us.

With an attitude being as contagious as it is, we must nip it in the bud to keep it from overtaking every area of our lives. The writer of Proverbs 15:4 gives us these words to consider:
“A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.”
(Proverbs 15:4)

"God, help my words to be a blessing to others and not a curse to others and to myself.
Amen."

May we be a living blessing to others.
