Monday, October 5th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“If you’re ever tempted to give up, think of Brahms who took seven long years to compose his famous Lullaby. He kept falling asleep at the piano.”
(Robert Orben)

Not only is perseverance a good characteristic, but also many times it is a necessary trait.

Keeping on with our task is what Paul was encouraging us to do with these words,
“Let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
(Hebrews 12:1-2)

"God, forgive me when I tend to give up too quickly. Give me the patience You have with me to continue the task.
Amen."

Thank You, God, for still working on me.
