Saturday, July 4th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“If a nation values anything more than freedom, it will lose its freedom; and the irony of it is that if it is comfort or money that it values more, it will lose that too.” (W. Somerset Maugham)

This quote came in 1941, and was probably heeded at that point. The trouble today is we see we are up to our ears in the problem. The me generations of today (baby boomers on down) valued themselves and their comfort above freedom, both ours and others around the world, and are now in power saying, “What happened?”

Freedom has never been free. It is always paid for by the blood of men and women who value freedom greater than life itself. May we find true freedom in The One (Jesus) Who makes us free indeed. (John 8:36)

"Dear Heavenly Father, raise up a generation of Godly men and women who serve you faithfully and stand tall to bring our country back to a nation “Under God.”
Amen."

Walk with Him in the light of His word and let Him lead.
