Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

"Civilization today reminds me of an ape with a blowtorch playing in a room full of dynamite. It looks like the monkeys are about to operate the zoo, and the inmates are taking over the asylum" (Vance Havner)

Though he died in 1986, Brother Havner could well have been speaking of our present day. Even greater, we must surely agree with the psalmist:
“It is time for thee, Lord, to work: for they have made void thy law.” (Psalm 119:126)

We have no other hope to depend on in this day when man is making void God’s law. We must be still and humble as we watch the movement of God. The writer of 2nd Chronicles 7:14 quotes God saying to Solomon,
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

May God bless and keep you today.
