Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

American Gen. George S. Patton knew the value of having a leader in the thick of the action. During his World War II campaigns in North Africa and Europe, Patton’s jeep often could be seen moving toward the fighting. Many times he joined his troops at the very point of attack.

Patton understood that the soldiers under his command would interpret such action as a vote of confidence in them and thus would maintain good morale.

When we find ourselves in the thick of the battle, isn’t it an encouragement to know God is there with us? We are reminded by the writer of Hebrews that God tells us,
“I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
Hebrews 13:5
Now doesn’t that put a fresh spring in your step?

May God bless and keep you today.
