I've had it with the atheist's claim about all the people that Christians have killed over the centuries. Christianity has certainly had her darker moments... but...
Atheists killed more humans in the twentieth century than 2000 years of Christian history combined... and not by any small number of death, destruction, and mayhem.
The following article is a very well documented article of the mass killings by atheists in just the 20th century alone... and it was written in 1993 so it doesn't cover the last seven years of the century.
The author states that his numbers are actually conservative numbers... and are you ready for the conservative grand total?
ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY MILLION (130,000,000) DEATHS BY ATHEISTS IN THE 20TH CENTURY.
Let that vast number soak in for just a minute.
The next time someone spouts off about all the wars and murder by Christian religion you will now have some ammunition to fire back with about their atheism and the social consequences of it's implementation.
killed by atheists
In the Christian Science Monitor a couple of years ago they ran an article similar to my rant about the deceptions of the atheists, esp. the atheist Richard Dawkins and his lie packed work The God Delusion.
Dawkins perpetrates the lie oft repeated about how religion and Christians have killed so many people over the centuries, while totally ignoring the mass murders by atheists in the past century. When you have time go read the entire article.

Communism has been the greatest social engineering experiment we have ever seen. It failed utterly and in doing so it killed over 100,000,000 men, women, and children, not to mention the near 30,000,000 of its subjects that died in its often aggressive wars and the rebellions it provoked. But there is a larger lesson to be learned from this horrendous sacrifice to one ideology. That is that no one can be trusted with power. The more power the center has to impose the beliefs of an ideological or religious elite or impose the whims of a dictator, the more likely human lives are to be sacrificed. This is but one reason, but perhaps the most important one, for fostering liberal democracy.

In his bestseller "The God Delusion," Richard Dawkins contends that most of the world's recent conflicts - in the Middle East, in the Balkans, in Northern Ireland, in Kashmir, and in Sri Lanka - show the vitality of religion's murderous impulse.
The problem with this critique is that it exaggerates the crimes attributed to religion, while ignoring the greater crimes of secular fanaticism. The best example of religious persecution in America is the Salem witch trials. How many people were killed in those trials? Thousands? Hundreds? Actually, fewer than 25. Yet the event still haunts the liberal imagination.
It is strange to witness the passion with which some secular figures rail against the misdeeds of the Crusaders and Inquisitors more than 500 years ago. The number sentenced to death by the Spanish Inquisition appears to be about 10,000. Some historians contend that an additional 100,000 died in jail due to malnutrition or illness....
