Daily Nugget
Monday June 1, 2015. Today's cherish nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.
"Lives
of great men all remind us We can make our lives sublime, And, departing, leave
behind us Footprints on the sands of time" (Henry Wadsworth Longfellow,
1807–1882).
I
found this quote on a day halfway between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. The
message hits my heart because I am blessed to have been raised by two solid
parents who have left, yet they are still leaving footprints along the path of
my life. Each person placed by God on the road of our life is placed there for
a purpose; likewise, we are to someone else the incentive to stay strong and
rise to the level God wants us to be. Let us follow the advice of the apostle
Paul in Hebrews 12:1-2: “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so
great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which
doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set
before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.”
God,
let my footprints lead others to You. Amen
Bro.
