      Friday, November 1st. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill

"There is no stronger test of a man’s character than power and authority" (Plutarch, c. 46–after 119).

How a person responds to power given to him reveals whether he is dependent on God, the One who elevates whom He will (Psalms 75: 6-7) into power, or whether he thinks he achieved his "elevation" on his own.

Oswald Chambers reminds us of our need to remember to keep things in perspective with these words: “A saint is never consciously a saint; a saint is consciously dependent on God" (Oswald Chambers).

God, let me be faithful to You, whether leading in worship or shining shoes. Amen
