Daily Nugget

Sunday, September 1st, 2013.  Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“When a dove begins to associate with crows, its feathers remain white but its heart grows black” (German proverb).

When an ember is removed from a fire, it begins to cool and loses its glow. As children of God, when we associate more with the world than with God’s folks, we grow cold, lose our glow, and grow black of heart. That is why the writer of Hebrews 10:25 encourages us with these words: “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another: and so much the more as ye see the day approaching.”

God, thank You for Christian teachers and friends who are faithful. Through them, I see You. Amen.
