Daily Nugget
Thursday, August 8th, 2013. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger
Pastor Bill.
“Each man’s memory is his private literature” (Aldous Huxley (1894–1963).
As a young boy, I remember a teacher challenged us to memorize Scripture by telling us, “The only Scripture you really own is what you commit to memory. No one can take that from you.” I now understand part of what he wanted me/us to do was to do as the psalmist says in Psalms 119: 11, “ Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”
God, thank you for teachers who truly prepare us for the future. Amen
God, is ever present!
