Daily Nugget

Tuesday, August 6th, 2013.  Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value” ( Albert Einstein).

Today in the post office I saw a lady who by most standards would be considered useless in our society. She was not very well dressed; her hair had issues that would make Phyllis Diller proud,  and believe it or not, she was not even wearing makeup.  What I saw her do was stoop down and occupy a cranky child while the toddler’s mom transacted her business. This lady may not have been successful in the world’s eyes, but to that room full of customers, she was of great value to the mom and child.

The writer of Ecclesiastes 9:10 reminds us to use what we have where we are with these words: “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do it with all thy might.”

God, let me be of value for Your sake. Amen
God, is Love!
