Daily Nugget

   Saturday, June 1st, 2013.  Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

"You always make each day a special day. You know how: By just your being you/yourself. There's only one person in the (whole) world that's like you, and that's you. And people can like you just/exactly the way you are" (Fred Rogers of Mister Rogers Neighborhood).

Over the years, Mr. Rogers influenced many children and, hopefully, spread that legacy on to us so we can be a blessing to the next generation. We must choose to enjoy today, and in doing so, cheer someone else along the way. The writer of Psalms 118:24 gives this word of encouragement and challenge to us: “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

God, thank You for this day. Help us, as Your ambassadors, to be a blessing to others today. Amen.
