Daily Nugget

   Tuesday, May 28th, 2013.  Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“From housework to heights of prayer . . . hurry and impatience are sure marks of the amateur” (Evelyn Underhill 1875–1941).

Many people want to hurry and seek God through prayer, or else they wait until they are so worn out they can’t even stay awake. Do we need Jesus to say the same thing to us that He said to the disciples in Matthew 26:40, “What, could ye not watch with me one hour?”

God, help us to remember in all things to take time to talk to You and spend time letting You speak to us.  Amen.
