“Ability is what will get you to the top if the boss has no daughter” (unknown).

In the parable of the talents in Matthew 25, Jesus reminds us it is not what we have, but what we do with what we have that makes the difference. In verse 21 Jesus has these words for the ones who  make the most of what they have: “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”

God, help us to make the most of the abilities You have give to each of us.  Amen.
