Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill

“The chains of habit are too weak to be felt until they are too strong to be broken.” (Samuel Johnson) 

The strand of the web of a spider by itself seems insignificant. However it has the strength ten times greater than steel of the same weight.  All of the tentacles of our habits reach out to encompass us about, holding us captive.  The apostle Paul gives this warning to the 1^st century Christians that is good advice for us also in Colossians 2:8, “Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on the elemental forces of the world, and not based on Christ.”

God, Thank You for letting us draw near to You to be able to break free from the traps of the world. Amen.
