Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“Don't use words too big for the subject. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite.” (C.S. Lewis)

How true those words are, especially as we try to describe our Creator, Jehovah God. No word, no image, no promise, nothing else in or out of this world can compare to Him and His love for us. We must be careful not to deify the finite or to limit the almighty God. The writer of Isaiah 55:9 records these words of The Lord, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

God, expand our minds in loving, worshiping, and fellowshipping with You. Amen
