Daily Nugget

Thursday, January 26th, 2012.

Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“People have a way of becoming what you encourage them to be—not what you nag them to be.”
(Scudder Parker)
I have a friend who can find a way not to do what you try to make him do unless encouraged in the proper way. If you try to force him to do something, he will rebel in every way possible. It has been said, ”Trying to make him do something is like trying to push a chain.” On the other hand, if you properly exploit his proper form of motivation, he can and will perform the task as he should.

The apostle Paul in Romans 12:6-8 tells us,
“Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness.”
"God, help us to encourage one another in the gifts You give us.
Amen."

Give Him glory daily.
