Daily Nugget

Monday, December 12th, 2011.

Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

Jack Hayford and his wife Anna were vacationing in Britain during the 25th anniversary of the coronation of Elizabeth II. While there, the Hayfords saw constant reminders of royalty. That, along with visits to several castles, caused Hayford to sense what it might be like to be “raised as a child in such regal settings.” With this in mind, he asked Anna to write down these words one day as they drove through the countryside: “Majesty, worship His majesty. Unto Jesus be all glory, power, and praise.” Thus “Majesty,” one of today’s most glorious praise songs, was born.
Some songs just make us want to stand on our tiptoes to get as close to God as we can. The writer of Psalms 9:1 expresses his method of worship with these words:
“I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvelous works.”
Let us worship His majesty with our whole heart. Shame on us when we give Him less than our whole heart.

"God, let our worship be acceptable to You.
Amen."
