Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

In Sri Lanka divers go down to the ocean floor and scoop up mud to find the precious stones hidden there. These gems cannot be found on the beach but are found down in the ocean bed. All the secrets of God in nature have been wrested from Him by patient, painstaking investigation on the part of men.

It is important to take time to sift the words of God so to find the nuggets of wisdom He has left for us to live by. Let us live by the words of the writer of Psalms 119:140:

“Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.”

We must mine and refine His word that it might be profitable for us.
