The Chaplains Corner

The Chaplains Corner

Guest blogger, Chaplain Paul, is one of the most effective chaplains in America today. He is an emergency responder to every situation.

Hey, this is the Chaplain again.

There was an old rundown building in our town; it had been vacant for a long time. Over the years it had really depreciated. Saturday morning some heavy equipment was unloaded and within a few minutes that old building was just a pile of rubble. Then the debris was loaded into dump trucks and it was gone. Now there’s just a vacant lot on that corner.

As I watched this process the Lord spoke to my spirit. He reminded me that a lot of people are like that old building. Over the years sin has left them vacant and dilapidated. Some people think that these empty lives are a lost cause; and sometimes they even believe that about themselves. But Jesus is not in the demolition business. The Bible says,
“There is now no condemnation for those who live in union with Christ Jesus.”
(Rom. 8:1)
and also,
“Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation.”
(2 Cor. 5:17)
Jesus, is in the renovation business. Everything becomes new when we let the Lord take over our lives.

How is it with you? Are you just waiting for the bull-dozer? It doesn’t have to be that way. God really does love you and He’s waiting for you to invite Him to renovate your life.
