The truth is joy does not come from religion or a set of rules to follow, but from a relationship with the Creator of the universe who wants us to spend time with Him. John 3:16 tells us,

“For God so loved the world (each of us included) that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

What a joy to be wanted by the Creator of all heaven and earth to spend time with Him.
