Daily Nugget

Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“The artist takes these little pieces, and polishing and arranging them, he forms them into a grand and beautiful picture. Each individual part of the picture may be a little worthless piece of glass or marble or shell; but, with each in its place, the whole constitutes a masterpiece of art. So I think it will be with humanity in the hands of the great Artist. God is picking up the little worthless pieces of stone and brass that might be trodden underfoot unnoticed, and is making of them His great masterpiece.”
(Matthew Simpson, reflecting on mosaics he saw while touring Europe—pictures made up of small pieces of stone, glass, metal, and shell)

All our struggles, trials, and imperfections are pieces in God’s hands to form us into the product that is useful to us, to others, and to Him. The writer of Deuteronomy 14:2 expresses it with these words:
“For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.”

"God, thank You for Your hand in our lives.
Amen."
