What we say or how we react reveals what is in our heart. To see how this works, the next time you observe a heated discussion notice the divisive words that elevate argument and the healing words that reduce the tensions. Think about how you would have fit into the same picture. Consider this prayer of David in Psalm 51:10:

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”

"God, purify my heart that my words be pleasing to You.
Amen."
