Daily Nugget

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011.

Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“The most important words in our vocabulary are yes to God, and sometimes no to the requests that come from the world.”
(John Michael Talbot)

Many people asked themselves after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan and of the possible threat of nuclear pollution, “What would I do if I knew I only had one day to live?” That is the same question asked in the 60’s by those knowing there was a threat of nuclear war. Today, in light of the same threat of yesterday, how we answer the question is evidenced by our lives. Has such a threat changed our habits and actions? Or are we letting self rule? Remember these words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33:
“But, seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.”

"God, let me say yes to You daily as choices come my way.
Amen."

God is Love. Let us reflect that.
