Friday, October 1st, 2010. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“Many of our troubles are God dragging us, and they would end if we would stand upon our feet and go whither he would have us.” (Henry Ward Beecher)

These troubles are illustrated by parents dragging their children around every day when it would be easier if the little ones would just walk. O that we might walk with God step by step. When we feel overcome with troubles, we need to think on these words given by The Lord to Moses in Exodus 19:5:

“Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine.”

Let us put our trust in God to take us through our troubles and to obey Him so that we will be that peculiar treasure to Him.
