Sunday, September 26th, 2010. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

A small boy playing with his buddies in the back yard, they were overheard talking one day. One of them remarked, “My Dad knows the mayor of the town!” I overheard another say, “That is nothing—my Dad knows the governor of our state!” When I wondered what was coming next in the “program of bragging,” One little son of four years of age was heard to say, “That is nothing—my Dad knows God!” The dad hurriedly left his place of eavesdropping with tears running down his cheeks, he looked up to God and prayed, “Oh God, I pray that my boy will always be able to say, ‘My Dad knows God.’”

Where men may fail, God never fails. To stand tall, we must realize from where our strength comes. Remember these words of the writer of Psalms 147:13:
“For He strengthens the bars of your gates and blesses your children within you.”

"God, the best legacy I can leave is 'You are my God.'
Amen."
