Saturday, May 15th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

A man planted two rose bushes on either side of his house. The bushes were equally strong and healthy, but after a time, the one grew and prospered and the other withered and died. Later, the man discovered that the living one was on the sunny side of the house.

Lesson: Live on the sunny side of the street.

More than once I have watched as two equally gifted individuals reacted differently to outside influences. I have been blessed to see some react positively to pressures and trials, while others spew bitterness and darkness sometimes under even less difficulties. The factor making the difference is The Son on the inside. We need to remember the Apostle Paul’s words in Romans 8:16:

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.”

Truly, our lives bear witness of The Son living within us.
