Pakistan detainees proud of role in NYC bomb case

ISLAMABAD – Two men detained in Pakistan for alleged links to the attempted Times Square bombing have admitted playing a role in the botched attack and are unrepentant, with one angrily accusing interrogators of "siding with the infidels," a senior intelligence official said Saturday.

The pair are among six men officials say have been detained in Pakistan for alleged ties to Faisal Shahzad, a Pakistani-American arrested in the United States two days after the failed May 1 attack in New York. Like Shahzad, the detainees are all members of their country's urban elite, including several who were educated in the United States......

First... the meaning behind the title of the article that states that the Pakistan detainees are still proud of their roles in the NYC bomb case.

That the Pakistan detainees are proud of their role is a major "news" item... says volumes about the MSM. The MSM obviously... expected... the detainees to be ashamed of their role... so the MSM is shocked that they are actually proud... therefore this is front page news worthy.

Contrast that with the way a conservative would title the report...

"Pakistan detainees should be handed over to the US Military to stand trial for attempting to kill Americans in the failed May 1 attack in New York."

Do you see the difference in the approach and world view between the MSM and a conservative?

Next... the second statement of "shock" to the MSM is in the first sentence of the report that says the Pakistan detainees are not "repentant." What are we to make of this?

The answer is in the progressive's Dream World View that if someone actually does something... evil... like trying to kill innocent humans... (and for a progressive... about the only real evil that can be committed is being a... conservative...) then they will obviously come to a place of regretting what they did or attempted to do with just a little more information or education.... therefore when the murderous detainees show no signs of repentance the MSM is shocked... and this is therefore front page news.

The progressives believe that humans are basically good... and just can't come to grips with the reality that a human can be truly evil in nature.

This is why the AP's news report... is news to the MSM.
