If we were to see the blessing we are to others, we might tend to get prideful. God wants us to see and know that He is what is important in our lives. In Ephesians 1:3, the apostle Paul gives credit to God with these words:

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.”
