Thursday, February 25th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

A father, who attended church with his little boy, found fault with everything in the service. As he walked home, he criticized the minister, the sermon, the choir, and everything in general. The boy, who had noticed what his father put in the offering plate, said, “Well, Dad, what can you expect for a quarter?”

The dad was confused about what was important. The important thing (worshiping the one true God) was infinitely more important than the preacher and what he had to say, than the choir and what they sang, than those in the pew and how they worshipped, and anything else that had happened. When we worship Jehovah God, it will not matter where or with whom as long as we let the Holy Spirit dwell in us. We must let the words of the writer of John 4:24 speak to us:

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
If these words ring true in our hearts, the superficial will fall away. God doesn't need our quarter, He lets us participate in His kingdom as an act of worship.

"God, You are my God.
Amen."

God Loves You.
