Wednesday, September 16th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“Never become irritable while waiting; if you are patient, you’ll find that you can wait much faster.”
(Unknown)

One day, while sitting at a four-way stop, my dad kept letting others go ahead of him--much to the frustration to others in the car with him. Noticing the act was causing others to become irritated, dad said something like this: “Patience is a virtue; let’s start an epidemic.”

Needless to say, the experience became funnier after it was over and the smoke had cleared, but the incident reminds us we are not a generation that likes to wait. Whether by intent or accident, dad exemplified what Paul said in Romans 15:5-6:
“Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

"God, grant me the mind to have patience with my fellow man, especially those with whom I come across daily.
Amen."

Let others see Jesus in you.
