David is an encouragement to all of us who are average or below. It is not what we are or what we can do on our own that God wants, but His desire for us is our yielding to His control of who and what we are so to become what He wants us to be.

The Apostle Paul reminds us:

“Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.”
(Romans 6:13)

"God, use what I am and what I have to bring glory to You.
