As a young boy one of the first verses I learned was James 1:17:

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

Every day is a present God gives us to open and enjoy. When we understand this, we will be filled with joy.

"God, thank You for this day You have given me. Help me to be the steward You want me to be of each hour, minute, and second of every day.
Amen."
