Thursday, September 10th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“You know it’s time to move to another job when some mornings you’d rather go to the dentist and have a root canal than go to work.”

It is interesting to talk to some people and have them tell us they do not enjoy the jobs they have. Ironically, as we talk to them, we discover they would not trade those jobs for anything.

Then, we talk to the volunteers we see at the hospitals or nursing homes, and we will find out how much they, too, love what they are doing. Not only that, but we hear in their voices and see in their eyes how much they enjoy what they are able to do. I feel that the volunteers have discovered the Apostle Paul's secret:

“And whatsoever your hand finds to do, do it heartily as unto the Lord.”
(Colossians 3:6)

"God, let us find enjoyment in all You allow us to do.
Amen."
