OK, we keep being told that these White House things being shoved down our throats really aren't socialist leading maneuverings... that we are just supposed to join in lock-step support and not question their intentions...
... then this kind of garbage shows up. Now we are going to be expected to let government agents come into our homes to instruct us how to "educate" our children... by federally trained government agents. There is one salient word for this kind of big government abuse of the family...

Remember... it was just about a month ago they wanted federal agents to come to American's homes and give shots to our kids right in our homes... now they want to come "indoctrinate" parents how to raise "government" kids... oh... and don't even ask about whether or not they will be evaluating parents... as to whether or not they are "fit" parents... keeping an official government "dossier" on each family of course.
This is not America.

Dirty secret No. 1 in Obamacare is about the government's coming into homes and usurping parental rights over child care and development.
It's outlined in sections 440 and 1904 of the House bill (Page 838), under the heading "home visitation programs for families with young children and families expecting children." The programs (provided via grants to states) would educate parents on child behavior and parenting skills.
The bill says that the government agents, "well-trained and competent staff," would "provide parents with knowledge of age-appropriate child development in cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor domains ... modeling, consulting, and coaching on parenting practices," and "skills to interact with their child to enhance age-appropriate development."....

Mrs. Shifty and I have been kicking around the notion of acting on one of our shared convictions; to whit, sharing the incredible bounty the Lord has blessed us with in a very tangible, impactful way...namely in becoming foster parents. Even working through a local church-based group, we were directed to the Sunshine State's "experts" to teach us how to be effective foster care providers. Without going into painful detail, let me just say the "experts" are about what you would expect....suffice it to say the system and I agreed to part ways without bloodshed when I refused to accept their so-called expertise. Sorry Mr. Social Worker man, but I really DON'T have to tolerate a foster child engaging in behaviors I wouldn't allow in my OWN kids. And "punishing" them for this behavior is NOT going to stunt their precious little selves. So..if anyone thinks the experts alluded to in this article will be more expert-ish...remember.....they work for the same government that buys EVERYTHING from the lowest bidder...jus' sayin'!

Yes, the whole foster care thing can and often does become a nightmare!
We've had families that go into it with the best of intentions... only to have their own children harmed by those they have taken in... and their hands are just pretty much tied.
