Wednesday, May 20th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

The Roman scholar Cato started to study Greek when he was over eighty. Someone asked why he tackled such a difficult task at his age. Cato said, “It’s the earliest age I have left.”

If we have not achieved our goals, or even started, now is the time. It is the earliest time we have left.

Every day is a gift, and we are stewards of that gift. The fact that God has given us another day, week, or year (this is my youngest daughter’s birthday) means He still has a purpose and plan for us. We must live life to the fullest so to learn something new and thereby increase our value to Him.

The Psalmist expresses that truth this way:
“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Psalm 118:24
"God direct my paths and open my eyes to see the opportunities around me. Amen."

Give this day to God and see what He will do with it.
