I listened to a man (Greg Montoya) share the story of his life and the ability God had blessed him with to be able to forgive a group of police officers who had beaten his dad nearly to death because he was acting strangely because of having missed his medications. As I listened, I was reminded of the forgiveness of Jesus as He was on the cross praying,

“Father forgive them for they know not what they do.”
(Luke 23:34)

What a standard of forgiveness He showed us. What a standard of love He lived and died to give as an example.

"God, let me forgive my debtors with the same kind of love You have forgiven me. Amen."

Jesus set the example; Let us follow Him?
