Our Little Nugget for today from Pastor Bill.

A Christian farmer was constantly jeered at by a non-Christian because he would not work on Sunday, went to church, and gave his tithes to the Lord’s work. At the end of a poor harvest season the non-Christian said to him, “Where is your God? He has certainly failed you, hasn’t He?”

“Oh, no,” the Christian said, “my God does not close His books at the end of the harvest season.”

With our finite minds we tend to get tunnel vision with the here and now. We must not forget His ways are higher than our ways. (Isaiah 55:9)

Keep in mind this time on earth is temporary, and most of us have less time left here than the time we have already spent. Does it make sense now to look forward to the day we get to meet the Master face to face?

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting” (Galatians 6:7-8.)
