WOULD YOU BELIEVE THAT THE STATE OF CONNECUTICUT ACTUALLY HAD SOME LEGISLATORS THAT TRIED TO INTRODUCE LEGISLATION TO TAKE FINANCIAL CONTROL OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IN CONNECUTICUT?
Just unbelievable, but I'm gald these snakes in the grass are being exposed for the vermin that we have know they were all along.

How angry are liberal politicians in Connecticut at the Catholic Church's opposition to gay marriage? Angry enough to try an unconstitutional move to take over the church. Here's some information from CT GOP Senator Michael McLachlan: I'm going to focus on Senate Bill 1098 -- "An Act Modifying Corporate Laws Relating to Certain Religious Institutions." The stated purpose of this bill is "to revise the corporate governance provisions applicable to the Roman Catholic Church and provide for the investigation of the misappropriation of funds by religious corporations." The real purpose of this bill is payback to the bishops and pastors of the Roman Catholic Church in Connecticut for opposing gay marriage.
It was thrown out in about two hours. The folks showed up in droves and thank God they did.
