Daily Nugget

   Monday, November 18th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

It is said that Dr. Theodore Cuyler and Mr. Spurgeon were once out in the fields enjoying God’s sunshine and the beauties of nature. Dr. Cuyler told a story, at which Mr. Spurgeon laughed until his sides shook. Suddenly, Mr. Spurgeon said, “Theodore, let’s get down on our knees and thank God for laughter.” Shortly afterward, these two happy Christian preachers knelt in the field and thanked God for His great gift of laughter.

Oh, to be able to see all the reasons to give God thanks each day for all the gifts I have been given. Join the writer of Psalms 107:1 as he reminds us: “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good and his mercy endureth forever.”

God, give me the wisdom to see all the opportunities to praise You today. Amen.
