Daily Nugget

“…every time you make a choice you are turning the central part of you, the part that chooses, into something a little different than it was before. And taking your life as a whole, with all your innumerable choices, you are slowly turning this central thing either into a Heavenly creature or into a hellish creature…” (C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity).

The writer of Joshua 24:15 challenged the children of Israel and us with these words: “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

May our choices be the proper choices that Joshua made.

God, help us to always make the correct choices and follow You.  Amen.
