Daily Nugget

Monday, February 18th, 2013. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“Honesty is the best policy, but there are too few policyholders” (unknown).

It is always interesting when someone starts a conversation with “To be honest…” or “Can I be honest with you?” The truth is that is the means of bringing honesty into a conversation that is less and less common. Our words should inspire trust and a desire to fellowship with each other.  The Apostle Paul writes this challenge to us in Colossians 3:9-10, “Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.”

God, let our words reflect the truth You place in us.  Amen.
