Many times we miss the infinite because we seek the finite. When we look at our world, we may only see our family or our street or our town. God knows our impact can be felt for generations.  The writer of Numbers 14:18 reminds us: “The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.”

God, remind us of the impact we may have on others, not only for today, but for generations. Amen.
