Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.
Too many of us are low-voiced and shallow-streamed in our gratitude. We are like the boy who had been swimming in a tiny pond, and who was taken for the first time to the ocean. After his little bathing suit was put on him, he was asked to wade in, but he looked aghast at the vast blue expanse and shrank back.It is interesting to watch the spectators around a swimming pool. Many want to be there, but several just want to watch. The writer of Psalms 140:13,
“Why don’t you take a dip?” urged his mother.
“Because,” he said with a great deal of dignity, “I don’t think this was made for little boys; it was made for big ships.”
“Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.”Let us learn to jump in and give God thanks for all He has done.
"God, Thank You for all Your mercies and benefits to us.
Amen."
