An interesting thing about the requests God gives us is they are never dependent on the response of others, but upon our obedience. A case in point is Matthew 22:39 where Jesus said,

“Love your neighbor as your self.”

What it all boils down to anyway is our obedience to God.

"God, keep me willing to obey You.
