Too many times we do not know the character of our lineage, but we can be the start of the heritage that makes a difference. The writer of Proverbs 22:1 reminds us,

“A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches.”

We must live the legacy for our children and grandchildren. The path is not crowded, but it may be steep.

"God, let me be to my children and grandchildren what You want me to be.
