When we think of ourselves as someone special or something great, we become just another source of noise. The apostle Paul says this in 1 Corinthians 13:1:

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.”

We need to speak in love and serve others in such a way that we become members of God's orchestra and not players in a loud, jazzy, noise-maker ensemble.
