With regard to the statement above, we listen to the words of the writer of Joshua 24:15 as Joshua challenged the children of Israel when they stood ready to enter the Promised Land:

“Choose you this day whom ye will serve.”

Daily, the choice is ours: Will I serve God or will I serve self?
