Monday, December 27th, 2010. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“Our confidence in Christ does not make us lazy, negligent, or careless, but, on the contrary, it awakens us, urges us on, and makes us active in living righteous lives and doing good. There is no self-confidence to compare with this.”
(Ulrich Zwingli, (1484–1531)

The confidence the paratrooper has in his parachute is built on faith he acquires through training and grows by experience; likewise, our faith is increased by our walk with God. The writer of 1 John 5:14-15 tells us,
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
Our faith and experience increases our confidence in God.

"God, thank You for increasing our faith by our relationship with You.
Amen."

Give Him glory daily.
