"The poem above is sung to the tune of "Happy Birthday," and was the “Birthday” song sang to members of a former church I attended.

Today is Doug’s (my brother) birthday. We have had much fun as brothers and many memories to go along with it. Some of my greatest memories are times of worshiping together and getting to hear Doug sing, sharing with others the talent God has given him. I am glad we are brothers by birth, but also proud to share a spiritual bloodline that means we will be able to spend an eternity praising God with each other.

The writer of Proverbs 17:17 says,

“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”

Truly it is a blessing to have a brother that is both a brother and a friend.

"God, thank You for my brother and the time and fellowship You let us enjoy.
